Pioneer Stew

A warm bowl of stew is a classic comfort food! This simple pioneer recipe is always a hit. Use what ever meat you like (beef, chicken, pork, wild game), and add in the vegetables that you enjoy.

Don’t be afraid to make a big pot as stew gets better the next day. A great addition to make it a complete meal is to add a slice of warm home baked bread. Check out my no-knead bread recipe on my YouTube channel.

Unlike soup, stews do not to freeze well, so if you have made to much just bring over a bowl or small pot to a friend or neighbor. I hope you enjoy this tasty recipe.
